What is the purpose of fillers?

The purpose of dermal fillers is the treatment of all areas of face. When they are injected into the skin, wrinkles are being filled and the lost volume of the skin is regained. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers add volume to the facial structures, are very hydrophillic (meaning they absorb water already within the skin) and they regenerate collagen and create the new one. It is important to stress out that hyaluronic fillers help maintain natural look and feel.

Who should use fillers?

Dermal fillers are aimed at men and women even though the treatment for men is slightly different. They are usually administered under local anesthesia or after the use of an anesthetic cream over the skin for 30 minutes.

Beside the fact that hyaluronic fillers do not threaten your natural facial movement, adding Hyaluronan is good for your skin. As you get older you loose hyaluronic acid, collagen, subcutaneous fat and elasticity. Because of that, and due to the gravitational force and constant use of the muscles, new wrinkles will be appearing, your face will lose volume and tired skin will be loose.

Nasolabial folds are a part of the aesthetic medicine and they are usually corrected with hyaluronic acid. For younger persons with less wrinkles are usually used less concentrated fillers. High concentration fillers, that can fill visible lines that dominate the face by giving it sad and serious look, are used afterwards. After the application, results are visible right away.

Most patients don't need an aesthetic procedure for effective correction of wrinkles. Great results can be achieved with nonsurgical methods.
